A lot of trans women have asked me questions about what I thought the best path is to a successful transition.
Of course the answer is an individual one but there IS a common thread running through every single transition I know of…including my own.
1. You’ll probably have to do things you never imagined because if any of your friends or family saw you doing them, you’d never live it down. Or they’d be concerned about you. Or they’d stop being friends with you because now you’re all weird and different.
2. You’ll have to believe in things you can’t see as well as some things you have positive proof are impossible.
3. You’ll have to push past your fears, fail over and over again and make a habit of doing things you’re not comfortable with.
4. You’re going to have to let go of your old, limiting beliefs and cling to your decision to create the life you desire like your life depends on it.
*BECAUSE GUESS WHAT?*
*YOUR LIFE DOES DEPEND ON IT.*
So, while I’m no expert, I can talk the talk because I walk the walk…every day of my life. If any of these sound familiar… put your mind at ease because you “Get it!”
